Alonissos is the perfect setting for a really quiet vacation. It is the most remote island of the Northern Sporades. Alonissos is a paradise with beautiful beaches and dense plantation. The island is famous for its National Marine Park. This park is a unique habitat that hosts rare birds and especially the Mediterranean monk seal Monachus Monachus.
Like all the islands of the Northern Sporades, Alonissos is famous for its beaches with crystal clear water and heavy plantation.

Kokkinokastro: An impressive beach with turquoise waters, red sand and pine trees.
Leftos Gialos: An exotic beach with white sea pebbles and turquoise clear waters that are similar of those of a swimming pool.
Megalos Mourtias: Wonderful beach with fine sea pebbles and clear blue waters.
Agios Dimitrios: A beach that has charming turquoise waters and fine sea pebbles. It is perhaps the most famous beach of Alonissos thanks to its unique exotic beauty.
When visiting Alonissos someone should not forget to obtain images from the island of Kyra Panagia or Pelagonisi. It is identified with Ancient Alonissos with homonymous monastery of the 12th century. The island of Alonissos has one of the largest natural ports in the Mediterranean which is called the ‘ bay of the Planet’. ( Ormos tou planiti)
